Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial activities of the organization, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and reporting. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy and Planning
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Lead long-term financial planning, including capital allocation, investment strategies, and funding requirements.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and board of directors based on financial analysis and projections.
2. Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor performance against budgets.
- Develop financial forecasts and models to support decision-making.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive planning and analysis.
4. Cash Flow and Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the company’s financial stability.
- Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships, debt management, and investment activities.
- Optimize the company’s capital structure to support growth and profitability.
5. Cost Management and Profitability
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, such as gross margin, operating expenses, and EBITDA.
- Implement cost-control measures without compromising quality or growth.
6. Risk Management
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
- Assess financial risks and opportunities, including market volatility, currency fluctuations, and regulatory changes.
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage and disaster recovery plans are in place.
7. Leadership and Team Development
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop finance staff, providing guidance on career growth and professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive cross-functional initiatives.
8. Investor and Stakeholder Relations
- Act as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and shareholders.
- Prepare and present financial reports and updates to the board of directors and stakeholders.
- Communicate the company’s financial performance and strategy effectively to external parties.
9. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships from a financial perspective.
- Lead due diligence, valuation, and integration efforts for M&A transactions.
- Assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives and partnerships.
10. Technology and Innovation
- Leverage financial technology (FinTech) to streamline processes and improve decision-making.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in financial operations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance (preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related fields.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role (e.g., CFO, VP of Finance, or Director of Finance).
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong background in risk management, compliance, and corporate governance.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising (preferred).

- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks).
